Individuals can qualify for the M&T Development WIN A HOME competition by referring potential buyers to the company subject to the following terms and conditions:

Terms and Conditions

  1. This competition is limited in time and will run from 31 July 2010 to 28 February 2011. There is one prize available which may be exchanged for cash, as set out herein.
  2. The required form that is available on the company website www.m-t.co.za or from a show house, needs to be completed in full and submitted to M&T.
  3. Entrance into the Win a Home competition through this scheme is only available between 31 July 2010 and 28 February 2011.
  4. The referrer will only be included in the final draw for the competition should one of the referrals included in the form in clause 1 above purchase a unit or stand from the M&T group during the period mentioned in clause 2 above . Only where such a transaction was successfully registered in the deeds office into the name of the person referred, will the entrant qualify for the draw. Time will be allowed until 30 April 2011 for these transfers to take place. (Should a transaction not be registered within the specified timeframe, and if the buyer did comply with its commitments, the transaction can be included in the draw at the discretion of the seller.)
  5. The referrer is compelled to supply 5 referrals of potential buyers that can be added to the database of M&T Development. No entries with less than 5 referrals will be accepted. Should any one or more of these referrals successfully buy a unit from M&T during the periods mentioned in clause 2 and 3 above such a referrer will receive an additional entry into the competition for every successful referral made. The entrant will be informed by M&T of any duplication of referrals that already exist on the database and such referrals will not lead to any additional entries into the competition.
  6. The winner will be determined by way of a random system draw, which will take place on a date and time to be determined by M&T. This date and time will be within 60 days after 30 April 2011. In the event the winner cannot be successfully contacted within three (3) days of the draw, or is unable for any reason whatsoever to accept the prize, a replacement winner will be randomly drawn from the remaining qualifying entrants in the draw in accordance with the same process and procedures applicable to the original draw.
  7. The draw will be handled by a firm of registered chartered accountants and their decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
    The winner will have a choice between the qualifying units in any of the following developments:
    1. Unit 191 Maple situated at erf 3076 Highveld ext 55.(2 bed one bath one garage)
    2. Unit 31 Crescendo situated at erf 10 Sagewood ext 12. (2 bed one bath one garage)
    3. Unit 125 The Stables situated at erf 90 Mooikloof Ridge ext 2 (2 bed one bath one garage)
    4. Unit 135 Park Crescent situated at erf 5348 The Orchards ext 55 (3 bed 1.5 bath one carport)
    5. Unit 1331 Wonderpark Estate situated at erf 886 Karenpark ext 24 (3 bed one bath 2 carports)
    6. Unit 82 Parkview situated at erf 1661 Equestria ext 114 (2 bed one bath one covered parking)
    7. Unit 72 Riverwalk situated at erf 2831 Noordwyk ext 37 (2 bed one bath one carport)

    The winner will have to decide on the unit of his/her choice within 5 days of the draw. All transfer documents must be signed within 10 days of the draw. The unit will be transferred into the name of the entrant.
  8. The prize may be converted to a cash amount by the winner. The cash amount is R500 000.00 (Five hundred thousand rand only) and will be payable in cash into the account of the winning Entrant within 21 days of the draw date.
  9. If required as a result of changes in legislation or if deemed necessary for any other reason, M&T shall have the right to terminate this promotion immediately and without notice. In the event of such termination, the entrants waive any rights that they may have in terms of this competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against M&T, its agents and/or promoters.
  10. By entering into or participating in the promotion, no legally enforceable rights in respect of the promotion will arise on the entrants' part in respect of any contractual relationship which might exist. Any person/entity qualifying for and entered into the promotion will be deemed to have accepted the promotion rules and agreed to be bound by them.
  11. Directors, members, employees, agents of, or consultants to M&T, their promotional partners, their advertising and promotional agencies and their immediate families, including spouses, life partners, parents, children and siblings, are excluded from being entered into this promotion.
